Cluxewe RV Resort Sept. 17th - 22nd
A couple of photos from Miracle Beach, a nice campground, close to shopping.
North to Cluxewe RV Park.It took us about three hours, as the road is very rough in places. Found our campsite and got set up. Dave and Kelly had arrive shortly before us and were ready to party, lol.
Malcolm Island across the bay from our campsite.
The four of us headed off to Port McNeill for a look see. Nice town, very neat and tidy. Just getting the lay of the land, we will be back.
Worlds largest burl? Looks like someone tried to burn it.
Saturday we went to the Coal Harbour Museum. It has a lot of local history, we are very glad we made it to this one.Dave flew for Minstrel Air in this area in the 80's so it brought back a lot of memories for him. Dave has a blog about that part of his life if anyone is interested. https://minstrelisland.blogspot.com/On our way home we stopped at Port Hardy for lunch, it was good.
Sunday we went to Port Alice. Forty or so kilometers from our campsite. Another nice drive and cute little town. As it was Sunday, most things were closed. A very picturesque Alice Lake along the drive there.
Port Alice
There is a board walk with info on all the buildings, very interesting. They also have movable lawn ornaments. It seams I have missed a lot of interesting info on this town, it is not far, so I think we will be going back.
I do need to start taking more pictures, stay tuned.
Today has been the wettest day so far but that was mostly last night. Lows 8-9 highs 12-16.
